The safety information is an integral part of the operating manual, which describes all relevant details.

Digital operating manuals can be accessed here.

Important Information

Reading the safety information does not exempt you from the obligation to read and follow the operating manual!

Failure to comply with the operating manual may lead to hazardous riding situations, falls, accidents, and property damage.

Contact your specialist dealer if you are unable to perform the described tasks on your electric bicycle (e.g., making adjustments), feel uncertain, or do not have the proper tools.

General Guidelines for Safe Use

  • Failure to use the electric bicycle as intended may result in component and material failure, posing a risk of accidents and injuries:

  • Adhere to the restrictions of the specified [usage class/intended application/vehicle category].

  • Do not exceed the permissible total weight of the electric bicycle + rider + cargo + trailer (if applicable).

  • Do not exceed the specified service life of components, if indicated.

  • Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for transporting people and cargo.

  • Modifying the drive system, especially tuning, is not permitted.

  • Check the electric bicycle for possible damage before every ride, particularly on the frame, fork, handlebar/stem unit, drive system, and seat post.

  • Do not use the electric bicycle if damage is detected, such as cracks, scratches, or discoloration in high-stress areas.

  • Be aware of an increased risk of injury due to potentially high temperatures of certain components (e.g., brakes, drive system, headlights).

  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for attaching accessories (bags, locks, child seats, carrier systems, etc.) and for using a trailer.

  • Observe the applicable legal regulations for use in public road traffic in your country.

  • When transporting the electric bicycle, follow the specifications of the manufacturer, the authorities, or the transport company.

Before each ride, check in particular:

  • The proper function of brakes, steering, suspension, and lighting.

  • The secure fit of the handlebar, stem, wheels, mudguards, and pedals.

  • The tire pressure.

  • Inspection and adjustments must be carried out according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Riding Behavior

  • Familiarize yourself with the handling, braking behavior, electric support modes, and walkassist function (if available), especially under varying loads, wet conditions, and loose surfaces.

After Riding / Maintenance

  • If damage or functional issues occur, the electric bicycle must be inspected by a professional workshop before further use.

  • Have the electric bicycle regularly inspected and serviced by a professional workshop according to the manufacturer’s specifications to prevent hazards, such as wear and material fatigue.

  • Adhere to the specified torque values (Nm) when assembling components.

  • Use only manufacturer-approved batteries and chargers.

  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding battery charging and usage, especially regarding ambient temperature and charging location.

  • Use only undamaged and unmodified batteries and chargers.
